Experienced Swiss Style CNC Machinist

Operating several CNC machines, loading bars of material, monitoring operation & taking measurements, while making quality parts, safely as part of a team. We’re growing and have opportunities on 1st and 2nd shift. Second shift carries a $1.50-$2.50 per hour bonus!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operating, setting up and troubleshooting several CNC machines
  • Training more junior team members
  • Loading bars of material and setting up automatic bar loader
  • Maintaining quality assurance procedures and processes, performing quality audits
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies
  • Maintaining specifications by observing machining operations, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn tools
  • Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years swiss-style CNC machining experience, preferably with Citizen CNC’s.
  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot swiss-style CNC machines.
  • Familiarity with blue prints
  • Advanced math skills, including algebra, ability to convert between inches and metric measurements, and geometry
  • Knowledge of metals and materials, including but not limited to steel, stainless steel, and copper, and their machine-ability.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, Dial or Digital Calipers, Optical comparator).
  • Familiarity with quality concepts, such as in-process auditing; lean manufacturing a plus

Part-time CNC Machinist

$18 – $28 an hour – Full-time, Part-time
Job Summary

This is a perfect opportunity to contribute to a growing business without the full-time commitment. We’re a small family-owned and run business where you won’t feel like a number. We have established processes and world class practices, but are small enough that you will know your coworkers and feel a part of something. You’ll love it here.

We will work together to create your schedule consisting of several 4 to 6 hour time slots, 3 to 5 days per week.
