WH Bagshaw Named Small Business of The Year 2021
W.H. Bagshaw Company, Inc. was named “Small Business of the Year” by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce on Thursday June 3rd, 2021. They were nominated by Kristin Hardwick, co-owner of Coworking House in Milford, who provides freelance marketing services for the company.

WH Bagshaw Honored as Family-Owned Business by U.S. SBA
Bagshaw was nominated for the award by Hollis McGuire, Nashua regional director of the NH Small Business Development Center, who said, “This is a family-owned business that has successfully transferred to a fifth generation of Bagshaws. Although manufacturers have closed in high numbers in New England over the past decade, W.H. Bagshaw has continued to adapt to change, using state of the art machinery and processes to remain competitive and open the door to new products and markets.”

WH Bagshaw Adopts Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative
Just in New Hampshire alone, there are 60,000 Granite Staters in recovery from substance misuse. "People in recovery are employees and customers." Led by Governor Chris Sununu, Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) is an initiative the Bagshaw Company has adopted while maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for substance misuse in the workplace. Our management team and leaders partner with local and state resources to collaborate and create positive change and eliminate barriers for those impacted by substance use disorder. RFW offers us additional resources and support to assist us in encouraging the success of employees in recovery. We empower our employees to reach out for support for their own well being and for the good of the company.

PRESS RELEASE CONCORD, NH – Walter H. Bagshaw, was born in Derbyshire, England in 1847, the fifth in a family of ten children. He went to work at T.R. Harding in Leeds, England, manufacturing comb pins at age 9 and moved to America in his teens. In 1870 at the age of 23, he established the W.H. Bagshaw Company as a pin comb manufacturer on Howe Street in Lowell, MA. It remained there until 1950 when the company moved to their current location in Nashua after Textron Mills vacated. From their early days, they grew to be recognized as a major domestic and international supplier of all types of pins, pin assemblies and wire products. In fact, they’re the oldest pin makers in America. Today, they are led by Aaron and Adria Bagshaw.........
